We had a great time at the beach this year! It was hard on my heart as we returned to PCB where we vacationed with Mama just last year; but overall, it was a wonderful escape to a beautiful place.
We left our mountains early in the morning, hoping it would create more naps.
The girls slept for approximately 30 minutes during the 9 hour trip down there. It's the flip side of having amazing sleepers who love their beds and sound machines and dark curtains.
It was a big year for M. She swam in the ocean for the first time! She has always been scared of the waves and there was a really calm day that was perfect for "baby wave jumping." On the other hand, E had no fear and we spent almost every second chasing a running baby who was trying to swim in the ocean.
We went to Pier Park or the "fairgrounds" as M called it.
And of course we attempted to do some beach pics of the girls. It was hopeless. So I tried again in a chair where I could hold E captive.

Love enjoying His creation.
Now for the post-beach recovery. Based on this morning, it's gonna' be a long and grueling process.

It's possible that we were at the same beach, same time, same everything and had no idea!?! Love the pictures!
